Mid-York Beekeepers are moving to Google Groups!
Important Update for anyone with yards in Broome County:
During a routine inspection in Broome County bordering Cortland County, we have identified 1 colony infected with American Foul Brood. We confirmed the AFB by using an AFB test kit and visual inspection by an experienced inspector. The Beltsville Lab where we typically send our samples to, remains closed. We will send the sample to Beltsville for antibiotic resistance testing once they open. The one colony infected with AFB has been abated and our inspector will conduct perimeter inspections at neighboring beekeeper’s yards. Below are  two links that may be helpful to your club members.
